Johannesburg, Wednesday last week , 26 January 2017 – K.O dropped the visuals for the fan favourite single MS2 (Mission Statement 2 off his critically acclaimed sophomore albumSR2). The song Is a sequel to the hit track Mission Statement off K.O’s debut solo album, Skhanda Republic. The video is directed by Ofentse Mwase and we see Mr Swagger of the Season abandons his usual laidback street style opting for a more dapper look in a suit. Also last week he joined the country’s top booking agents UMG Live which is a rapidly positioning itself as one of South Africa’s leading entertainment facilitation companies
When asked about the MS2 K.O said “MS2 Is a single off my album SR2, also, it being one of the fans favorite, we figured we might as well do the visuals,“ said the No Feelings rapper. Breaking down the thinking behind the idea of the MS2 video, which was interestingly shot in one take, K.O expanded on how he and Ofentse executed it.
“Ofentse Mwase Films – who also helped me with the No Feelings video – and myself were able to come up with the concept. We wanted to use one single aerial shot, using a drone where the camera descends all the way down to shoulder level all in one sequence. We choreographed the video in such a way that, as soon as the director said ‘Action!’ I would perform the whole track. The drone was programmed in such a way that it was able to capture all the choreography from the beginning to the end. I really always want to do something different,” said the Call Me rapper.
