The rapper slash producer PatrickxxLee recently dropped his latest Project [album], “Diary of an Arsonist”. The album is available for streaming on the following link
Although the cover on this album is a lot more creatively outgoing and doesn’t necessarily appeal to us, we’ve always found the artist to be rarely talented and a phenomenal producer. Although he is no Nasty c or Youngsta, the way he packages his production is quite on point channeling the new school style of production quiet well.
PatrickxxLee was able to bring a lot of different emotions on this project with a hint of love, disappointment, self awareness and relationship undertones. The project reflect ,the artist sharing his current state of mind , his past trials and tribulations he has had to overcome.
Tracks such as ‘After Party’ has the artist is inviting us into his mind and tell us that his heart is closed off to love. He is just over that. The track ‘Die Alone’ has the artist putting us in a trance as the song begins with him harmonizing and ends with him dropping lines like: “If I had a bottle for every time you f#cked up. I’d be as drunk as I am now. Bargain for hearts you am cash cow. My broken heart heart always lash out”
The tracks that personally did it for us were “Broken Boys break Toys” feat Saint Klaus/Conscious/Cremation. The song showed us his lyrical side with the track HeartBreak Hotel which makes us all reflect back on that one girl we regretted dating .
Although this album reflects more of the artists darker side we think the album is well put together, showing us the extent of the rappers artistic soul and creativity.
