Reason recently released his fifth studio album ‘Love Girls.’ Which shares his experiences and encounters with the various women in his life. Unlike his previous album cover he has chosen not to be on the cover of his fith studio album. Instead the rapper displayed an artlike icon featuring two casettes that form a heart formation to represent ‘ the love of music’.
The 14 track album was produced by The Boys Upstairs ( Hopemasta ,instro and Noyas) and features talented artists such as Nomuzi,Kwesta, Ginger Trill,Gemini Major ,Moneoa, Melo B Jones and BK.
There is no denying that Reason is one of SA’s top rappers of all time with his lyrics being something out of this world. We’re not quite sure why none of his album have gone platinum as yet and perhaps it has something to do with the trending buble gum rap and trap genre pollution currently occurring in the industry ….
Personally, my favorite tracks were Dangerous / Celebrity /All the time /Pdycm. I definitely felt like this album was more for today’s new hip hop lover , than the guys that really enjoy reason the artist and The Hip Hop MC.
Each song on the album represents a different type of girl & tells his story & perception of her from the Good, Happy & Perfect Girl to the Blessed, Angry & Bad Girl, Reason paints a very vivid picture of each girl throughout the album assisted by interludes from various woman explaining their reasons for why they are that type of girl.
For example, the Girl Upstairs (The Blessed Girl)’ takes us back to the topic of the ‘Blesser’ . In here Reason talks about this Blessed Girl who gets everything she wants, all the attention, rent paid, champagne served, and all the blesser want a piece of her.
Its a dope album showcasing the diverse direction that the artist has taken. We over at ISHH will always buy this artists albums …. We still haven’t even stopped listening to Audio Re-Definition (Reason Season) and Audio High Definition
